Lightbulb Extended Warranty

Hi. I recently purchase GX470 2007 with 77k miles on it and no warranty due to mileage. I have no problem but I was wondering if I should get an extended warranty? What kind? How much should it cost? Anybody has experience with that? Any help / advise is greatly appreciated.

If you are going to get a service contract, make sure that it is either Toyota Extra Care / Lexus Care or a Fidelity Warranty. Obviously, the Lexus care comes from Lexus, little pricey, but the best service contract available and can only get through your Lexus / Toyota Dealer. Fidelity is through JM&A Group, of Southeast Toyota. Fidelity is the #1 aftermarket VSC provider, and they also administer the "factory" backed VSC's of Volkswagen and Hyundai.

I sell these things for a living, I know what I'm talking about.
And yes, when I bought my GX 2 months ago, I got a Fidelty VSC. Hope I never have to use it, but at least I'm protected, just in case.

Can you provide a price / coverage comparison between the Lexus and Fidelity VSC extended warranties?

Thanks

Outside of factory warranty, you will be looking at a "stated coverage" policy for both. Stated coverage means that all covered components are listed on the contract, if its not on the contract, it's not covered. Exclusionary policies are like the factory warranty, its easier to say whats not covered than to try to list all covered components.

Lexus VSC for 3/36 should be about $1800, Fidelity should be about $1500
