Okay guys, be nice. I feel stupid asking but, I just got the latest nav disc and before I try to install it, I thought I would ask if there are certain steps one must take in order for it to update/work correctly?

I did search before I posted but no luck!

I appreciate that but, I thought I saw a Post somewhere that talked about the car needed to be "on" but not "running" and something about getting into the overide area to calibrate, etc. Any thoughts anyone?

I did my installation on the parking lot. You dont need any special instruction. Just put inside. It should take 5-10 min.

Not sure if it matters, but I just did mine in my '07 out in the garage and had the key in the "accessory" position.

under right front seat pull it all the way to the front. open the door and take the old one out .put the new one in. I did not have to do anything else.
