Default Question about Leather touch ups

Since I will be keeping this truck there are some very minor but I just don't like things with this truck that I would like to address.

1. Is there a place that I can get a leather touch up kit or whatever they use so that I can touch up the very very minor worn marks on my shifter? I'm taking the size of a pen point but I don't like it and I notice it. Or can you pick up a new **** for a reasonable price?

2. Where can I find a new set of all weather mats that came with my truck. Are these the mats that they have done away with and if so why? My click into place so there was no way it could get caught under the gas peddle. Mine are in great shape but just don't look new anymore. The rug mats have never been used and are stored away.

3. What leather cleaner and conditioner can I use on my seats. I have kept them clean but I'm seeing creasing in the leather and want to address this.

4. Can I replace the lens that covers the gages? When at the dealership whatever they had wiped it with has put a ton of minor scratches in it. Is this a big deal to replace?

5. What headlight lamps are you all using. Love the truck hate the low beams. Can't seem to see 10 ft in front of me. I guess I'm nuts but not sure why this is.

6. What tires are you all using? I will be replacing them in the near future and would like recommendations. Mostly street use city driving with some long distances trips.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

I can address a few of the items on your list:

2. I also have the original all weather mats. I've heard that these were also recalled. Some people were not clicking them into place and also installing them over the carpet mats. A replacement for the all weather mats may be available in April or May, but not sure.

5. Yes, the halogens on the GX 470 are not good. A lot of people have replaced them with HID's from Xenon Depot.

6. I would recommend either the Michelin Lattitude Tour or Michelin Cross Terrains. Both have good wet and dry traction and smooth, quiet ride.

  1. Leatherique will match the color of your leather. It may be easier to just get a **** on ebay.
  2. Clean the leather with mix of wollite + water with a concentration of 8:1 or 10:1, that is, 10 parts water & 1 part wollite. Spray it on the leather and remove with a damp cloth. Follow-up with a good quality conditioner (I use 303 aerospace conditioner)
