HID fog install . . .
Hi guys,
I'm trying to install hid's in my fogl lights but I've run into a minor stumbling block. Can someone tell me how to remove the amp connectors so I can pass the wires through the drain hole?
TIA

I'm sure you can be creative and figure it out... It is usually plug and play.... Good luck.

i took ideas from this thread and the link to the thread posted above when i installed my HIDs this weekend. it's raining now so i will have to wait before i post pics.
i used 6000K lamps with mini ballasts for all 3 sets of lights and they look great. i should have taken pics as i was doing the work.
the ballasts were interesting to deal with on the drivers side. i kind of just tucked them away and used alot of zip ties (the double sided tape is pretty much useless). the ones on the passenger side were rather easy to mount. the ballasts for the fog lamps were a breeze. i just drilled the opening in the mounting hole on the ballast to accomodate the screw that is used to keep the fog lamp housing in place.
pics to come soon!
overcast and rainy but you can see them pretty well
i replaced the stock bulbs for the step/courtesy lights with some LEDs
closer shot of the LED. i also put some LEDs in for the license plate lights. less power consumption+brighter lights=BETTER!

Looks sweet! Are the step/license plate lights a nice blue/white color now? Can you post up the LED part numbers for those lights and where you got them from?

the step/license plate LEDs are bright white. i got them on ebay for dirt cheap.
10x T10 194 168 501 1-8MM LED Car Auto Light Bulb White <---click the description for the ebay listing
10 of them for @10 bucks(shipped)!!! you couldn't beat that deal with a stick!!!!!
working on putting LEDs throughout the interior map/dome/cargo area. it's gonna look like daylight when you open the door to it at night.

Hey LMZ, your LEDs are of da hook man!!! Wow.
For the steps, do they produce lighting for the entire length of the running board ? I'm unable to tell maybe the pics is taken far away.
