Default rear shocks problem

pls can someone help me with this situation. My truck is riding like a low rider on low profile tires. When I took it in for my last service the dealer had mentioned that one shock shows some sign of a leak, that was 4 mths ago, now i lost all comfort. I've tried other comfort setting, no help. Is it a height sensor or is it really a leaky shock which by the way is 750.00 EACH. Pls respond asap

I dont think it's sensors. I replaced sensors on both sides. If your car would stuck in High position (like mine) I would say it's sensors. Most likely you have a leak.

I think it's leaky shocks.
I got rear air supension leak in May and it was covered under warrantee. Mines at 46,000 now.
Now two front shocks leaking and I guess they are covered again. What a relief....
I'm guessing you have high mileage on your vehicle?

I thought shocks would not be covered due to them being a "wear and tear item".

That's what I would thought too. But, they are fixing it for free and I'm not complaining...

The 06-07 most of the Lexus models were prone to leaks, seems to be production issue then and Lexus issued a TSB how to define or draw the line when to replace the shock absorbers, hope this attachments helps you, sometime what a leaks seams maybe not be that you need to replace it. ceeyaa

Thank you for replying guys. What I have discovered, it looks like it only does it when it's raining, a couples of days ago,the wife came home and it was on high position and she did not touch the switch and guess what, it was raining, so I am keeping and eye on it for the next rain. Thank you

If it'a in high position most likely it's sensors. Each sensors have little arm, that made out of aluminium, and they tend to stuck due to corrosion. Thats why your car stay in high position, because arms on sensors dont compress. You can get two sensors from ebay for 350$ and about $150 for install.

Mine is an 05, and it doesn't seem to go down all the time. Don't know why, but it doesn't seem to bother me. Is it bad for it not to go down?

Default Sensors

I had a similar loss of comfort. The dealer made the adjustment and the rear end getty up was fixed and speed bumps were smoothed out.
