need replace front wind shield...
Must happened when I drove to Palm Spring couple of weeks ago...
It was only couple of inches when I first noticed it.
And, I was going to take it to wndshield specialist next day but it cracked bigger over night....
Anyway, now I need to replace it and dealer quote came out to be $2400!!??
I Don't know what's so special around Lexus glass but that's ridiculous!!!
So, I'm looking for after market shop near Fullerton, CA.
And, wondering how much it's going to be.? My Lexus rep told me it should be around $600... but just want to check with you guys.

What's special is that you (we all) have the rain sensor to deal with when you need to replace the front windshield. Granted, $2400 sounds high, but it's not going to be super cheap because of the sensor arrangement. I'm not technical enough to fully understand it, but this is what I have gathered so far.
Good luck, I'm sorry I can't help you get a better deal.

Don't have a glass insurance? Check with your insurance carrier, if you have full coverage, you may have auto glass insurance. You will only have to cover the deductible. OEM Lexus glass is extremely expensive, my insurance agent told me $1,500.00 for the glass + installation. By comparison, aftermarket glass costs $650.00 including installation. Had to do it twice, twice covered by my insurance, but they only did OEM replacement once (the first time).

The name of this place is Camacho Auto Glass 323-445-5499. I dont know this guy personally but he installs glass for the body shop where I take my cars to. The owner of the body shop likes him a lot. He installed my glass and I was very happy, no leaks.
