Default Brakes pulsing at low speeds

At low speed braking or before it comes to a full stop. I'm guessing the ABS but would like a 2nd opinion from others. If it's the ABS, is the fix something that can be done DIY? thanks.

Explain "pulsing." Is your pedal pulsing or do you feel the truck pulsing as you are coming to a stop? My guess is it's likely run-out (warped rotors). Take it in and have the dealer check the run-out. The GX is notorious for this.

If the dealer says they are warped, don't bother having them resurfaced it will come right back within a few thousand miles (don't ask me how I know), just replace them. I would recommend taking it a Toyota dealership and save yourself 25%.

Once in a while my car ( not the pedal) is doing that too. I don't know why?

Mines doing it too and the rotors were just cut before I bought it. I'd take it back and complain but too far. Sounds like cssnms is right..I'll go the same route I did with my tundra that had this issue and get some nicer rotors.

Same here; I bought my '07 GX new, and it started doing it at about 12k miles. All these years I thought it was warped rotors since I drive up and down the mountains, even though the runout was to specs.

Also, when coming to a stop, even though I have constant pressure on the pedal, the brakes seem to apply harder (on its own) during the last few seconds (as if I had pushed on the brake pedal harder).

I had new brakes and rotors installed yesterday, and it still does it...kind of a pulsing feeling in the car while stopping at low speeds. Braking at high speeds are smooth. My mechanic suggested maybe it's the ABS "catching" too soon, but another said if that were the case, the ABS light would come on.

Any ideas? Thanks!

check that the calipers haven't seized (quite common on GXs/4th 4Rs)
