Tire rub & air suspension
New owner '07 GX, want to go up to 18" rim.
Want T4R LTD 6 spoke rims with Nitto Terra Grapplers.
T4R LTD wheels are identical to the Lexus OEM (17" x 7.5, 6 lug on 5.5", +25mm offset) except 18".
..................OEM 265/65-17 v. 285/60-18 vs. 275/65-18
height......... 30.6" ............ 31.5" (3% taller) .............32.1"
tire width:.....10.4" ......... 11.2" ......................... 10.8"
sidewall .......6.8" ..............6.7" ............................ 7"
But wondered how the rear air suspension fits into this equation?
Will it cause more rubbing in certain positions? Raised goes up to 19 mph and lowered something like 9 mph, but the rake it causes when raised makes me wonder if front tires will rub.
I WILL have some off road use, pretty mild, dirt/rocky, gravel, ruts....so I expect I'll raise the suspension.
I tried search, but couldn't find this specific issue. Any input appreciated before I go & spend buku buck$ and find they rub too much! I'm not adverse to some cladding trimming.
