I requested Michelin CT when I ordered my truck.... No problems at all with them.. Rain, snow or heat.... Replaced them @ 65k. Got another set of CT from the dealer.. I forget exact price.. but was around $900 out the door.

Our old 99 4runner had bridgestones.......... Hated them. replaced at 30k

I agree with Koz, I have run CT's in the past and switched over to the new LTX 2's and love them. My priorities are quiet and smooth ride with good handling.

Default How do LTX and CT compare

How do the two tires compare. It sounds like (maybe just wishful thinking) that the LTX are a preferred tire? What do you think? Al

Cross Terrains.

I had LTX M&S on my old Grand Cherokee and while I am a fan of that tire, the CT's are the better tire IMO. With 55k mi on my CT's they have been nothing short of exceptional. I intend to replace w/CT's.

Just got my 05, and have some distance to go on Bridgestones. But it will be Michelin later on, for sure. Appreciate the heads up on the LTX M&S and CT. As for source, I'd say Coscto as #1 because they often have Michelin coupons (between $60 and $120 off per set, 3 or 4 times a year I'd say), their price is very competitive before the coupon, they have a great road hazard policy, and the (not unique to Costco) rotations and flat repairs. Those future-service items are easy to exercise due to the fact that Costco is not far away for most of us. traveling or at home. If you are out west America's Tire/Discount Tire Co (same entity) is hard to beat for the same reasons as Costco, although I have not seen the Michelin coupon deal with them. They are also generous price matchers, even to rock-bottom Internet quotes. I think Les Schwab gets the same two thumbs up if you live in the Pacific Northwest. Even if Tirerack gets you down the road cheap (they would not beat any of the above if you are a negotiator), I would not want the PIA to figure out where to go for later services such as cashing in on road hazard.

I have CTs on my wife's truck and we are at 61,000 miles. We may be able to squeeze out some more miles. Great tires. We will be looking to replace soon but will be sticking to Michelin.
