can someone pls tell me what's wrong with the height sensors. It seems that they have a mind of their own. I am about to buy them to replace. I'll do the job by myself, is there anything I should know before engaging. Thanks

They are supposed to automatically adjust to keep the car level - for example as people get in and out you will hear them raising or lowering. There is also a mode where you can manually raise them for greater ground clearance like if you were driving off road over rough terrain, but if your speed is more than a few MPHs they will lower back to normal Are yours doing something else?

yes, the truck goes up to high setting and stay there. The wife hates driving it with the back "jacked up" and when I tried to lower it, sometimes it goes down to mid level and stay there and the ride becomes very stiff, for it to come back to normal, I make her stop the car and cycle the height control from high to low and back to neutral and that seems to take care of it until next day. Do I need to change both sensor? Thanks

Height sensors are very common. Mine 2007 sat 3/4 inches lopsided and the ride was very bouncy. After getting them both replaced...perfect. Luckily I was 200 miles away from warranty expiration..

Clarification -- The GX will drop you from high to normal height if you hit 20 mph, not 2 mph. I have used the high setting to my advantage offroading and the 20mph mark works very well IMO.
