Smitty...do you happen to know where the relays install? I found where the large green one went. There is one tow slot in the small box behind the main fuse panel under the hood but I can't locate a second location? Does anyone know?
BTW-I just installed the integral hitch and I never could get a solid answer in the class rating either. But the place where it is attached is boxed in and welded to the main chassis. So I would guess this is capable for 5000lb. I was also told it was an original part for the Sequoia.

here is the Relay with large cover on:
Large cover off exposing little fuse box:
Small relay cap off exposing the two new relays:
Now I am having a slight issue with fitment on the wireing harness so i have not tested this yet. I will do so as soon as I take care of the fitment issue.

Smitty, do not tow anything heavy with that until you get the other piece! It has about six bolts that attach to the frame member and it comes down on top of where those two holes are. You have to have the other bumper insert to put it on.
If you need one of these I still have the one I took off my GX to put the "intergral hitch" on. It is not used for the "small hitch". I'll send it to you for the price of shipping.

Ya, same question I had. cmarshack has it right. Like I said B4, every person "at Lexus" I talk to, I am told something different. I need to make a whole new thread with all pictures and explain this GX 470 hitch dilemma.

When his car was shipped without the "Tow Prep" package he not only did not get the wireing harness but he also did not get the mount that attaches to those two holes!

It’s like im talking to a brick wall when talking to some of these guys at Lexus. Iv called 4 different dealerships and everyone has something different to say. Unbelievable, it’s a hitch; can I just get the correct information so I don’t have to do this two three or four times???? Once again, the reason for these forums is priceless!!!
Hey cemarchack, which one do you have? It looks to me like there are two? Look at the holes on each, there are opposite of one another. I will look into it today and see what new info I get. Thx!!!

Thx Cap!!! What are the Max Tong Weight and Towing Weight on your hitch? I like the clean look without the holes but am wondering if that lowers the capability of the hitch????

I would guess that the capacity is 6500 lbs.
When I learned that Lexus started using their own hitches and mounting them underneath and that they were bolting them in the center, I went to a welding shop and had them weld a plate from the center of the Curt Hitch to the Frame.
I also like the Clean Look.
