03 slowing down with heavy rainfall
Hi guys I have a gx470 a few years back while visiting cali during a heavy rainfall the alarm started going of and the car started slowing down in motion i took it to the dealership and they said it was the control panel messing up when it rains and water gets into the box. never fixed it because im from nevada where it rarley rains fastforward 7 years now ive moved to california car starts to slowdown in heavy rainfall again.. anyone else had this problem and any cheap dui fixes or should i leave it to the dealership? control box like they originally said or transmission problems? resently had the o rings replaced on the tranny box. thanks for any help.

no images this is what the dealership guy had told me he said this was a common problem on the 03's when water got into box "wiring box" maybe, only happens when its a heavy downpour

From the description it sounds to be the 4x4 transfer actuator, which is a black box if you happen to look at the below chassis, besides the transmission, this is a sealed unit. But this does not have any wiring within it, it is just gear cogs all around. I am attaching the snap, maybe if this is what the dealer is mentioning. And maybe take a visit to the dealer and ask him which box does he mean, as it is a really bull story that heavy rain the GX has this problem of water seeping into this control box
