My front passenger side of my 04 GX470 light bulb went out.

The owners manual said its a 4157NA and Pepboys said is was a 4157NA. When I pulled it out, I noticed it was round and its a 1156NA.

I also think its the daytime running light as well.

Why would the owners manual be wrong?

Any ideas?

Odd. there is nothing interchangeable about those bulbs. perhaps it was a build date or model year change that wasn't present on your car. look up on pepboys and see what it says for an 03 or 05.

My 04 GX manual also said my turn signal light is 4157NA but it actually 1156NA. I think Lexus changed the bulb type on the late model 04, my GX build date is 04/04. It took me about five minutes to change one of this bulb, I took the advice from this board and did the swap from the bottom.

I have an 06 GX. If you go into to PepBoys or look-it up just about anywhere, you'll get the wrong code. Used the 1156A on mine. Worked perfectly. Same fit, same brightness, etc. I think I went in from the top.
