Default Auxiliary Backup/reverse lights

Hello my Gen I GX brethren. Has anyone installed auxiliary lights to augment their backup/reverse lights? I have searched the forum with no luck.

If you have, I would appreciate a photo and particulars on the lights and your wiring.

Thanks,
Bob

If you're looking to make reverse lights brighter, try replacing reverse/backup light bulbs with high powered LEDs?

Only pic I have. They're from Kragen made for reverse lights (comes in pairs). I wired them up by just tapping into the stock reverse light wires, and mounted using the existing screw (replaced with a bolt and washers) on the led brake light. So no unwanted drilling.

How were you able to "snake" the wires for the light into the existing light?

I ran the wires under the wing and above the door. Then use 3m tape to hold the wires along the inside of the door from the top and down the right side, then cross over by the first hinge. Make sure you keep the wires above the weather strip at the top of the door.
