WOW what a deal 05 with 17k miles with KDSS. For me GX 1st gen. body style will never look old!

Agreed. Much like the 60 and 80 series Landcruisers. They still look classy.

I know, something about GX 1st gen and 60 80 Landcruisers, I have nothing against 2nd gen Lexus GX but I feel like it has too much of a face lift. 1st gen GX looks very rugged and classy at the same time.

Oh I don't have KDSS. Good for me, I hear there are issues with towing. I can't confirm that, it was in another post. Peeps were saying it's unstable while towing. Makes no sense to me??

I completely agree! I do however like the 2nd gen interior A LOT. That said, the GX is everything and more and more and more for me. I make excuses to drive it, if even to the corner store.

Hey

I looked at a GX470 08: Asking price 38,560 with 15,000 miles on it. Black/Dark grey, fully loaded with Ent system.

It's about 2hrs away from where I live.

The down side is that it had two accidents. (Front impact bumper (twice). Don’t know if engine took a hit.
Do you guys recommend jumping on this one and try lowering the price?

I'm little sacred about the accident. I saw the pics, and it looks like brand new.

It was a corp. vehicle. It still carries Lexus warranty till 50,000.
Please let me know what your thoughts are.

Once again thanks for your help.

Nilam

I don't mean to sound flip, but you cannot be serious?! You're actually considering driving 2 hrs to look at a GX that's been wrecked not once, but twice and at a price I would expect to pay for a low mileage unmolested GX?! Go with your gut feeling on this one....

Are the links I posted to several low mileage late model GX's being sold by Lexus dealers not appealing?

Chris,

I'm not going to drive 2hrs for a Lexus. I will be talking to some lexus dealers around my area. They are offering 2.9 on Certifed Lexus till end of the month. Hopefully I can make a deal with these guys.

Thanks
neal

I don't buy cars that have been in accidents. I don't care how good the shop is, the car will never be the same. The paint will never match, the lines will never be as crisp. No way. I am entirely to **** to be messing around with someone's fix.

You can always tell when the car was invlolved in the accident. I was considering 2nd Gen. GX but somehow I like the look of 1st. Gen

As an FYI on financing - AAA is 2.69% on used 2008 vehicles, 2.49% on 2009. I'm also looking at 2008's, I have posting on my CPO sales experience the other day.

Guys,
I forgot to ask one more question. Do 2008 or 2009 come with xenon headlights or are they halogen headlights (projectors)

Don’t know if Lexus comes standard on 08 or 09.

Thanks
Nilam

FYI: I will post pics once I get my car.

No factory xenon on any first-gen GX models. I don't know if it's offered outside the US, but it's not a factory option in the states.

Google is your friend: http://www.lexus.com/cpo/model_libra...9_options.html

However, you can upgrade your lighting to xenon. A number of members have done just that and I think most (if not all?) are happy.

Also I would check non-Lexus dealer as well for your GX, you'll be surprise what kind of deal you'll get. Most of the times, they cannot wait to get rid of the trade-ins.

When I was shopping for my SUV, I checked out the MDX at first. However, as soon as I test drove the GX I knew instantly that was the truck for me. In addition, I found that the GX gives you more bang for buck and it's a more powerful car...IMOO.
Keep shopping around...

Good luck.

Guys,

I have been looking at GX470 for a while, but dam the price that they are selling for is to high...

08's are going for like 38-40
09's are going for 40-43

Why so much for 08's. Yes I'm looking at non-Lexus dealers as well. Hopefully I can get one soon.

One dealer is offering on the 09 for 47 out the door, and 08 44000 out the door.

I can't win. Thanks for all your support

Nilam
