I was wondering if Michelin Pilot LTX P245/65R17 105H tires would fit onto our GX470's. There is an almost brand new set from a Lincoln Aviator on craigslist that we looked at. Would there be any issue from it such as less smoothness to the ride, etc? Let me know folks. =)

That size tires are about 1 inch narrower and 1 inch smaller in diameter than 265/65/17.
IIRC, 2005 was the last year Aviator was made. So make sure to ask the seller how old these tires are - there is a production week stamp on every tire.
And one more thing... There is no listing on Michelin's web site for Pilot LTX, which leads me to believe that these tires have been discontinued.
So unless they are dirt cheap, and you get ALL 5 tires, I would look for the OEM size.

Your call... Personally, I would not. But I understand where you are coming from...
1 inch difference in diameter is significant if you had to deploy your spare.
I would not buy a discontinued tire... What would you do if you had to replace 1 of the 4?
Again, it's your truck and your call...

There is a member on T4R.ORG that has 4 nearly new 265-65-17 Michelin Cross Terrains on sale for $400.
4 Michelin CTs, post #9
An excellent OEM tire for your GX.
I think that member is also in Cali...
