I have looked through the forums but can't find anyone that has had the same issue.

I can't unlock the driver door manually with the key. Works with clicker but not key. When you shut the vehicle off, the automatic locks unlock all doors except the drivers lock but i can unlock it with the unlock button on the door.
I can also lock all doors manually with the key from drivers door.

So it seems everything works mechanically but not as it should. Could it be the lock mechanism? If it is then why does it work with the clicker and the door button but not the key or automatic unlock? I was reading about a reset but could it be that simple.

Any help would be appreciated as my wife is in panic mode that her clicker will go dead and she will be stranded.

 

Is it still within warranty period? If yes, then bring it to the dealer and let them worry about it. You'll also get a free car wash and a new Lexus to drive for a day or two...

 

No, it's an 03. Was hoping to avoid taking it to the dealer but looks like I may not have a choice. Unable to see where anyone has had the same issue.

 

This is probably obvious, but... Did you try disconnecting the car battery for at least 30 minutes to reset the computer?
