Default Hubby's replacing brakes do any of you use brake quite

Hubby's putting my brakes on I have two questions.

1. Do you unscrew the cap to master cylinder when compressing the brake caliper?

2. Do you use brake quite when you change out the brakes?

He has replaced many brakes on different trucks but never a foreign truck and I was also wondering is this straight forward?

Just make sure to pump the brake slowly with the vehicle off. Otherwise the VSC/TRAC/BRAKE/ECB lights will turn on.

Use Lexus pads with the shim kit and make sure all metal to metal contact points are lubes with a thin film of caliper lube and brake quiet is not needed.

Stay away from cheap brake pads.

I remove the cap, but don't use any brake quiet (or anything similar)...it's pretty straight forward

of course remove the cap, towels around master cylinder for any overflow, and no paste, use shims.

Thanks guys, I got the brakes from Sewell and they are OEM. We didn't buy the shim kit, is this something that is needed? Thanks for the advice. We were not able put these on over the weekend so we will tackle this sometime this week.
