CD Changer: Help: Newbie
Trying to load the CD
I put in 6 discs I've tried them label up, label down, Compact Disc Digital Audio, and regular CD-R
I hear the changer making noise when installed.
The system won't play the CDs.
It just says "No CD"
At one point it put up a "Bluetooth connectivity problem" message
The rest of nav sys seems to work.
2005 Nav Sys Factory Changer
Any Ideas?
I've never used it and just got car.

Starting with the easy stuff: did you make sure the sliding door is all the way closed after you put in the CD holder? Do all of the other radio functions work ok (AM, FM, etc)? Do all the other touch screen functions work ok (heat, a/c, Nav, etc)?
I've had no trouble with my CD changer yet but other posts here say it can be an expensive repair if you end up having to take it to a dealer. An alternative could be to install an iPod interface and not use the factory changer. I added an interface from VAIS Tech - they are a vendor on this forum - top quality & works great. I dont even use the CD changer any more.
Good luck for finding a fix - hope it turns out to be something easy

is there a sirius or xm unit installed in your GX? i ask this because mine came with an aftermarket sirius unit and the CD changer in mine has never worked for me either. it gets power, i can hear it shuffling through the CDs when i put the magazine in but it has not and probably will not ever work for me unless i find a solution for this problem. i get the same thing.
and by the way, the proper way to load the discs is label up!

Everything seems to work on the nav system although I havent entered any addresses into Nav yet. Next step.
I dont think it had satellite radio before but not sure.
I loaded all label up again and tried making sure door is closed.
No improvement. Still won't work.
