CV Boot Replacement or Repair

CV Boot Replacement or Repair
Hi everyone. I just recently had my car detailed at a local "car spa"/auto shop and they did a free inspection on my GX and said that my CV boots are bad. That probably is the reason why I hear a clicking noise whenever I accelerate, lol.
What is the best thing to do in terms of replacement or repairing, get OEM or aftermarket? I'd love to hear some suggestions on what worked out the best for those of you who have done this.
Thanks guys!

Check them out underneath first and see if they are torn or not. If they are torn, they need replacement. We have a 4runner and last time I checked there wasn't a huge difference in price between OEM and aftermarket. In addition, it's one of those parts I usually don't see much issue with given the type of material. I had a torn boot on my RX300 and my uncle and I used an aftermarket one in Mexico (for lack of Lexus/Toyota substitute) and it's been running fine ever since.
With that clicking, are you getting it when you back up and turn, go forward and turn, or just when you got forward in a straight line. True, a torn boot can dry out that grease and/or leak it out and then a CV joint problem can ensue with a clicking sound. I just recently dealt with something like that recently, but concluded it's likely a tie rod end or a ball joint as the CV joint checked out fine (and my clicking was sporadic, not all the time), but I have to get some more time on the weekend to check that out.
