I didn't do this myself because I had to replace a radiator around 80k that was just slightly dripping.
That was such a PITA that I didn't want to do it again in order to do the timing belt as it would have to be removed once more.
I paid a shop to do it.(non dealer) Supplied my own parts, FIPG, and coolant. They charged me $375.00 for T/B and wp. But I ended up paying $550 total for both the T/B and both cv axles.
Again I supplied my own parts. I used Napa Maxdrive axles and I'm not getting any ABS/VSC lights.

I also just purchased a 2004 with Navi, and will also be sticking pretty close to stock. So far I have added a Yakima rack that I used to have on an old Land Cruiser, and Weathertech all weather mats (not liners). I will probably put on a 3rd party hitch receiver.
I had thought about putting on BFG AT KOs like I have on all of my previous 4x4's. I've been out of the 4x4/SUV world for awhile and see now there are only BFG AT KO2s? which seem much more aggressive looking than KOs. Plus the GX already has Michelin Cross Terrains in good condition.

$150: had six small (but noticeable!) door dings fixed by the local paintless dent removal guy and all the paint transfer that comes with a door ding removed / polished away.
Nothing but straight, scratch-free panels on our '07 now.

Put in small quad air-horn. Mounted compressor and tank and horns behind front bumper. Pretty loud! Compressor is sealed and gets air input through a filter mounted out of the rain next to the radiator fill.

Replaced both front brake pads and rotors and the driver's side caliper because it had a stuck piston. All parts and labor from a local trusted tire and break specialist that I have been using for years. Stops quickly and quietly now. Total $350.

Do the repair yourself! Requires no tools other than a jack, jackstand, and lug wrench to remove the wheels. It took about 1.5 hours in the driveway, most of that time figuring out how high to jack it up.

Right rear was leaking so I replaced them both. You can get them on Amazon, OEM Lexus parts for about half what the dealer lists them for. There are third party airbags (China???) for $99 each, but I just stuck with OEM.
