What are those HID bulbs, 8000K?!? When LED's at 6-6500K make them look blue/green/purple, you're definitely not getting the best HID experience you could be. The usable light at those color temp drops way off.
No drop in LED is better than a HID bulb unless the HID are like said above, 8000k or cheap no name bulbs and ballasts. This is always debated in the Tacoma forums and there is tons of good info here with lots of data to back it up. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/...#post-19689308
Just cause the LED color is whiter doesn't mean it performs better. An it's very doubtful that the LED will throw light further than HID or halogen. The LED bulb lacks the center throw for distance because of how it's designed.
The HIDs have about 82% higher output than the LEDs (3200 vs 1750 lumens), but because the HIDs are much more similar to the halogen they are able to far better utilize the optics to project their output when compared to an LED. So while they are only 82% brighter in output, the HIDs actually come in 3.3x brighter than LEDs at the hot spot.

The only benefit of LEDs are they're easier to install. Currently they are no where near as bright as HID although that said, actual brightness also depends on what LED you use. If you get one that's designed to have the same throw and diode placement as a halogen (i.e. Morimoto 2stroke 2.0), you'll have a lot better output and beam pattern than the cheap chinese junk that you can buy on ebay and amazon. I have those in my high beams and they make a tunnel of light when they're on. Miles better than halogen

I installed LED marker and turn signal lights in the front. I had a before and after video if the turn signals but deleted in by accident. This weekend hopefully LED the rear lights and LED high beams. Ill be sure to take pics!
Hopefully you have a non DRL vehicle. If you have DRLs and resistors in your turn signal bulbs you will literally melt your light housing if for whatever reason they work without hyperflashing
