Default New to GX need advice on prices

Hi,
i was at the dealership looking at GX 470 2007 model that has 66K miles. the car is not CPO.
they want to sell to me for 28100, the car has everything DVD, navigation fully loaded. I feel the price is a bit high for an 07 model i would expect it to be between 25,000 - 27,000 range.
the problem i like to buy a warranty and the best price they can offer is 3750 for 4 years/50K or 3250 for 3 years/36K.

i am confused the warranty also seems to be overpriced if i compare with other warranties in the market.

so any advice ? are these prices similar to market or my feeling they are overpriced ?
i am looking at 2006 models in the market same milage sold for 26,000 fully loaded.. for some reason the 2006 model are much cheaper than 2007 , they should be the same arenot they ?

Use Edmunds.com to search the value of the car. Edmunds is an estimate of the selling price while KBB is an average of the initial asking price. Never pay sticker. Once you look up the Edmunds price, please reply.

Edmunds ,NADA and KBB everyone giving a totaly different number 2000 difference.
Edmunds is bringing at 27000 private party and at 27500 retail and 25500 as trade in.
Nada and KBB and are shooting to 30,000 as private party, 27 000 for trade in.

dealers they claim to use nada but reality market prices are all set by the auction. I just want to listen from everyone if the numbers i mentioned for GX i mentioned in my early post is reasonable or overpriced , from experience perspective.

Warranty is it true fair price for 4 years 50K miles to be 3775 ??? anyone purchased warranties ?

I paid $27.5 for a 2006 w/ 61300 miles, no DVD or KDSS, but loaded with everything else. I'm in CA.

Some of the members bought their CPO warranty from a person for a lot less. Around $2000.00 You may try running a search on CPO.

I got mine from a Toyota dealer before my truck went out of warranty at 48,000 miles. The Lexus dealer wanted $3250.00 for my 2008. When it came in the mail, it was titled Lexus, not Toyota extended warranty. Sence Toyota owns Lexus, they can sell that warranty as well. I think mine was around $2,100.00 I had 46,000 miles on mine, and the warranty takes me 3 years or 100,000 miles. It is transferrable to the next owner. With after market warranties, you have to call them first, before getting any work done. With Toyota, you just take your car in.

The Lexus warranty source is Troy at
www.FD-warranty.com

but I'm not sure if he has warranty for a vehicle that has had warranty expire

It is likely that since you are out of the 50K warranty already, you will be charged a premium for a new warranty.

Since it has made it yo 66k miles, you can probably skip the warranty provided you have an outside Toyota/Lexus dealer inspect it before you buy it. Also, ask the dealer if you can keep it over night.

Is there a reason you feel the truck should be 25K to 27K? Prices are very area specific. I dont think that is a good price (you can probably get them to 26,500), but I dont think they are ripping you a new one either.

Default Dealer had new deal

OK the Lexus dealership agreed to sell for out of the parking lot for a total of 31,000.
the price 29,000 AS CERTIFIED CPO , they agree to certify the car, 3 years up to 100,00K
Sales Tax is 2000 in TX, so the total outside the lot is 31,000.
i think this fair, CPO means they will do all required maintenance work, breaks and 60K service and new tires.

this is much better.

Congratulations! I have a blank copy of the CPO work sheet. It is about 5 pages. They should give you the copy of their work sheet, which should include that they have checked the car fax report. They can't CPO a Lexus with a major crash history. You would have to PM me, I think, so I could send you that form.
