My 1st New Year Project for my wife's GX...
installation of backup sensors.
I bought four sets of cheap sensors on ebay a while back and yesterday morning I felt bored and so my 12 YO son and I decided to mount two sets on the rear. We planned to install four sets, 2 sensors per module, to cover all four corners of the GX.
Step 1. Rear/Left (driver side) corner sensors - done
Step 2. Rear/Right corner sensors - done
Step 3. Front/Left (driver side) - In February
Step 4. Front/Right - In April
We might have to put a sensor set (2, with module) on the front bumbers, then another separate set of sensors (2, with module) on the front sides.
The sets came with LCD display with beeper but I decided to hide the display and just have to listen to the beeps. I wanted to have four different sets to have four distinct areas where the beeping will come from but when I tested it last night, my ears had a hard time localizing where the beepings in the rear were coming from. This only means more alignment of the beeper in the future, to better direct the source of beeps.
