Armrests are similar to the RX. Thin and close. I prefer a center console.

I saw the gx last night. The seats are similiar to the lx--the most comfortable in any suv- great leather and plush great fit. The outside looks good and impressive. The middle sseats are also comfortable. The back door was stupid but the lexus guy said it was designed for the Japanese market. Lots of cargo room. Also easy to getin and out except for the rear seat. The back door glass didnot appear to open. No xenon headlamps or parking assist.

I just went and looked at the new 4Runner today, and the GX has to be a bigger vehicle overall. Even though they are both based on the Prado, the 4Runner must be a sized down version. It was much smaller in person than I though it would be - but that's a good thing.
The GX, however, I hope is bigger than the 4Runner. It looks like it is, and needs to be to fit the 3rd row of seats.
I see the GX has the generic auto-dimming compass/mirror I see in many GM vehicles.

I was pretty surprised to sit in the GX and find the driver's seat to be bolstered the way it was. The seat was VERY comfortable. My only nitpick is the 4 way power passenger's seat, as opposed to the driver's multi direction power seat.

Don't tell me they skimped on the front passenger seat by making it 4 way adjustable, like the RX300. This doesn't match any of the competition. Guess they thought we wouldn't notice. What is ridiculous is that you know that they must make fully adjustable right hand seats for the right hand drive markets. What is the logic of making killer stereo options but not offering a decent front passenger seat even as an option.
