GX 470 Pics from Raleigh
Johnson Lexus in Raleigh NC had the GX 460 Preview last night. Great food, great folks, and a great Lexus.
That rear door, though...Makes no sense to me.
-When parallel parked, and there's a car parked close to your rear-end, you're OOL.
-When parallel parked and you want to load something in the rear, you have to carry your package across the rear-end into the street to get in the door.
- Parked on a downhill grade and one has to close the door. It has a lock to hold the rear door open, but once unlocked, whoever unlocked it is caught between the door and the bumper
- Parked on an uphill grade and one has to open the door. Gravity will prevail. Imagine a 100-120 lb woman trying to deal with this.

Leather Choices in this pic....
The color was nice. Darker than the Bluestone metallic Highlander, but not as dark as the Indigo Ink Pearl RX. It was hard to get the correct colors for the pics in that office setting...A mix of fluorescents, halogens and fading sunlight.
They were rubbing it down something fierce before people showed up...and it wasn't Lexus techs. It was kids, looking like a HS dropouts. They actually swirled the paint a little on this one.
If you buy one new, please make sure you don't allow some Lexus minmum wage lackey touch the paint.
Me...Nope...I'm not getting one. That rear door? Sheesh.
I'm waiting for the next gen RX.
