Default Plasti-Dip painted my wheels

I know a lot of you guys are gonna disapprove of this but hey it's an easy mod and can easily be peeled off whenever I come to dislike it or get new wheels (takes away the "soccer mom" look somewhat too, lol). I do plan on getting some nicer set of wheels some time soon when time permits, lol.

Took me about 3 hours on and off to coat it and what not. The process was pretty easy, though I did screw up a bit on the front driver side wheel (gonna redo it this weekend).

Each can is only about $6 at Home Depot and 3 will do the job (bought 4 just in case).

I like to use plasti-dip on grilles and anything else thats chrome. That stuff is great and holds up very well. Ive had plasti-dip on my BMW grille for about 4 years now and it still looks perfect.

Im not a fan of black wheels, they always remind me of spare tires. But still nice job...obviously you like it and thats all that matters since its your GX.

Wow, it looks really good. I'm curious as to how the finish would hold up in snow, mag chloride, etc.

No need to waste time and money removing the tires. Use index cards, playing cards etc. to go around the wheel and you can paint the wheels with the tires still on.

the car looks really good with dark wheels on... and the front bar too... i really wanna do this on my truck but i have to say i am worried about the image of the truck projected... i am currently riding on an infiniti g35 coupe with volks te37 bronze rims... need i say more..?
anyway... i think when the pitting on my oem wheels get bad enough i might just plastidip it cuz it looks so good in the picture... i have blizzard pearl too...
