Default 18" BFD wheels : 285/65/18 Nitto terra grapplers : Sport tail lights

WHEELS
Matte bronze BFD wheels
- 18” x 9”
- 22lbs. (stock chrome wheel weights 26.4lbs)
- 0mm offset
- 5” backspace

TIRES
Nitto Terra Grapplers
- 285/60/18
- 47lbs. / 31.5" (old tire weighed 38lbs. / 30.6")

WHEEL LUGS & LOCKS
Gorilla black chrome lug nuts
- part # 91137BCB

Gorilla black chrome wheel locks
- part # 71631NBC

Sorry for the glare, the sun was out and the paint looks washed out. I tried to touch it up but who cares, this is about the wheels and tires. I went up a size in wheels and went with larger A/T tires and only added 5lbs. of un-sprung weight....not bad at all! If I wouldve went with a street / highway tire the 18" setup wouldve weighted less than the 17" setup.

I had some rubbing on the front of the fender liner and by the front mudflap. I trimmed the mud flap and theres no more rubbing but I dont know if I want to cut the fender liner or not. For now its not a problem because it only rubs at full lock.

EDIT: I used a heat gun to fix the rubbing on the fender liners. No rubbing anywhere at full lock.

I guess the nittos run bigger than the toyo ATs cuz I didn't rub at all. Or ur truck sits lower than mine? Who knows.

Hope ur happy with the results. Thx for sharing.

I just fixed the rubbing with a heat gun, no biggie.

Based on Toyo specs your old tires were 31.3" in diameter, the Nittos are 31.5". That doesnt seem like alot but the tires were barley running, so I guess it was enough to make a difference. It really wasnt bad on the drivers side, it was worse on the passengers side because theyre slots in the fender liner and it would make the louvers vibrate.

But anyway, its fixed now......

Very cool looking set-up. Did you just paint the ends of your hubs to clean up the look?

Did you go with TPMS in the wheels, what about the spare?

The fronts were fine, the rears had about a .50¢ piece of surface rust in the middle. I sanded it real quick and hit it with black high temp paint.

I had the sensors swapped over from the stock wheels to the new wheels. The spare is the stock wheel with a larger 265/70/17 tire on it.

Looks nice, do you mind telling me what's the percentage of the front window tint? Thanks.

Thanks.

I dont know about the tint. The previous owner had it tinted by Lexus but Id guess 35%, its not dark at all. Usually I go w/ 5% all around. Houston police could care less about tint but Im moving to Orlando at the end of this month and my family there tells me theyre very strict when it comes to tinted windows.

Thanks. I'm thinking to get the front windows tinted and want to get the looks closed enough to the rear windows like yours. Here in NYC, lots of tickets for tint too.

Default need a lift?

Does GX need Icon and lift to fit the package of wheels and tires on? Can't help it but your GX looks really amazing.
