Water pump leaking...new timing belt too?

I agree, $600 is simply outrageous. My dealer charged me the cost of the belt, something like $70. Since they're removing it to change the pump, at best they could charge you the 5 minutes of labor to walk to the parts counter and get the new belt off the shelf. I wasn't charged extra for any of the tensioners, but in retrospect I didn't specifically ask about them either
Hopefully since the dealer was smart enough to know that the belt was worth replacing they did it all. He did agree that this constituted the t-belt service and that I wouldn't need to worry about it until ~150k. Good luck!!!
