Congratulations, you have made an excellent choice.

I leased my GX 470 in 2004. I loved this car so much that I purchased the residual and have driven this vehicle ever since. !50, 000 miles to date. I have maintained it following the owner's manual. The most recent has been rack and pinion, as well as control arms replacement. I love the power and acceleration of this car, its stability, and solid feel. At 87 and having owned and driven different brands of cars on three continents, the 2004 GX470 is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned. I was a staunch Mercedes owner for many years before my GX.

Thumbs up

Wow. This thread is almost 12 years old. I still have the 2004 Lexus GX470 though a couple years ago, during the pandemic, I turned it into an an overlanding vehicle. This vehicle is pushing two decades of service...

This is the current state of the vehicle. Picture taken last year.

Thumbs up New to me GX

I just picked up a GX470 this weekend, I love it! I've been driving around for work all week and haven't seen a car I'd rather have. I just need to find a rear bumper cover for it because the PO damaged it.

Best,
Cyggie

Slightly less power because the 2003-04 don't have VVTi, but also don't have the cold air injection system that goes bad.
Win, mostly.
