Scratched running board - any suggestions? (heart breaking pics inside)
Hi all,
I'm brand new to the GX family and feel terrible because today I was parking in the world's most difficult parking garage and scratched/broke my running board. I was thinking of painting it temporarily as a band-aid. Unfortunately, I'm not really versed in such things, so I'm not exactly sure what to do. Anyone have any advice?

hey man sorry to see that... done that on mine but much less severe... but don't worry yours look very minor in the real big scheme of things...
im not a pro but i did this on mine... got the better bondo stuff from harbor freight... cheap is $1 and better is $2.50... anyway paste that bondo on and make sure the cracks and nooks are well filled and then buff or you can just leave as is and use touchup paint... clean everything first as a rule with any job... gl

I'm not sure if it makes a difference because I was already a "member"(30days, 30posts) when I made my first purchase from swell but it does say "club Lexus members" get the discount on the swell site, maybe someone here can clarify.

Looks right to me, you could always call swell and confirm but you will probably still have to order online to get the discount. I would remove the running board completely before ordering to make sure there is not a bent bracket or some other unseen damage. Hell you might like the way it looks without the steps and decide to leave 'em off, I have seen a few GX's without boards and they look good IMO, especially with aggressive tires.
