Default Please help me with the airbag light that is on in my dash.

Ok guys, I need help, please. I have a 2004 GX 470, I pulled the cluster out and immediately after replacing it, the airbag light came on......Yes, I had the key in the ignition and on when I removed and replaced the cluster. I found a DIY fix on here, but that was for a SC400, not a GX470. Is there anyone that can help me?? I would really like to get this taken care of. Thanks.

According to this thread, there's only two 'surefire' ways to resolve it:

1. Take it into a Toyota or Lexus dealership and have them reset it.
2. Purchase an OBD2 Scan Tool and reset it.

Cheers,

Double check all connection and ensure they're in place. Specifically, double check the connection to the right of the radio/Nav unit where passenger airbag light is. If that connector (or any other) is loose, the light will come on.

I'm having the same problem. My airbag light comes on after driving for a couple of minutes. When it first came on a couple of months ago I noticed that It came on only when a passenger rode next to me. Once the passenger got off the car I would shut off the ignition and restart the car, and It'd be fine until the next pretty woman sat next to me.

With this in mind, this weekend the light started coming on all the time, and I did notice that the shiny black thing that is on the right hand side, kind of replicating the hazard swich, but for the passenger, and which says "passenger airbag" was not giving any indication, and I believe that I once saw it indicate airbag off, or something like that, when no passenger was in the car. Am I correct about this indication? Anyway, if there is a light there, it is for sure not coming on at any time, whether or not people sit on the right hand side. If so, Might this be where my airbag light problem traces?

Thank you all!

I suggest go for a Oil change to the dealer and have them removed the cluster warning lite.
