New Canadian Guy In Town - 07 GX
I'm a brand new member.
This website has been so helpful, interesting and funny with a good vibe that I just had to sign up.
So here I am and here's my story:
After much searching, I finally pulled the plug yesterday and bought a white 2007 GX Ultra Premium Lexus.
I bought it from a Canadian higher-end car leasing/sales outfit.
It has 28000 miles ( or 42000 km?) with options such as a back-up camera, nav., spoiler, Mark Lev. 3rd row seat etc. The low mileage and the test ride were what really sold me on this particular one though. I had never driven a GX before - only admired them from a distance.
The vehicle was a lease return and had apparently been for sale a couple of months.
I was told the initial asking price was $32,500 but when I spotted it they had already reduced to a $29,500 asking price. I negotiated the final selling price to $27,500. No trade-in.
I get the car sometime this week because they are detailing/prepping it for me.
The car SEEMS to be in great overall shape but I noticed a few very tiny stone chips on the front of the hood. The dealer said he'd get that touched up for me when it's detailed this week.
Haven't even got the vehicle yet but already I'm thinking xenon headlights. Can't wait.
A little concerned about GX fuel costs (after driving a Honda Civic) but at least I bought with my eyes open to that one little negative.
So this old guy is stoked for next week when I pick her up! I'm very pleased to be joining y'all on this wonderful Lexus forum.
