I own a 2008 GX 470 and a 2004 IS 300, and I just wanted to say thank you to the members of the GX forum. Not that the IS isn't a great car; I love it, but it seems like that forum is all about ways "trick out", or ways to turn your IS into a car out of 'The Fast and the Furious'. This forum is all about owners helping owners, and I appreciate that.

I think it comes from the general type of person that tends to own and drive the GX470. The IS sedan has wider appeal across various age ranges and is less suitable for the family driver who needs to cram 2 kids, shopping bags, strollers, snacks, food, etc in to the back seat and trunk. Most of us here in the GX forum (I am guessing) aren't trying to be the next Vin Diesel with our GX's, as this car just isn't suitable for that type of thing. ![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I guarantee you if there was more aftermarket OR for that matter ANY aftermarket support people would be modding their GXs left and right.
We dont have any OEM superchargers (other than pre VVT-i) and even then its hard to find a complete kit with every part. The GX is heavy as hell so no need for bodykits / carbon fiber parts. We dont have any headers / engine mods that are easy and somewhat inexpensive. We have a Lexus so theres no need for a loud exhaust.
So that leaves audio / video, wheels / tires, lift, locker(s), offroad bumpers, HID kits, taillights, LED bulbs. LOL
