Default Just picked up a 2004 GX470...

I'll post pictures soon.

I traded in my 2004 RX330 with 78K for a 2004 GX470 with 104K miles. I purchased it through a Lexus dealer, although it was a trade in that their Lincoln dealership.

With 2 kids, the RX just wasn't cutting it. Also, I was disappointed with the gas mileage in the RX and little things were starting to go wrong with the RX (radio problems, sunroof acting weird, transmission whine, etc...have never had good luck with first model year vehicles). I bought the RX certified, but it was almost out of warranty. When I bought the RX, my intent was to purchase a GX and have regretted ever since.

Well, I found a very clean, 2004 GX, 2-owner (Texas), clean carfax, with 104K on the odometer. I got it for $15,400 before they adjusted for my trade in, taxes, etc. and I'll post pictures soon. Other than a few scratches here and there, the truck is extremely clean. I enjoyed the 160 miles trip back home. The ride is much smoother, no more transmission whine, less road noise a lot more room for my two children, and overall, a much more enjoyable vehicle. I had Lexus dealer check it out before. It is a base, no navi, no rear entertainment, silver/beige.

Overall I am very happy with my purchase. I am looking for things that I may have overlooked and so far so good. Soon, I will need to do the timing belt and water pump. It came with almost new Michelin's and overall I'm happy with my purchase.

I'll post pictures soon!

Congrats!

I got my '04 GX470 a little over a month ago now. These '04's are a *steal* right now!

Cheers,
Kermee

The GX is no regret as you'll love having that extra torque. Trust me, that torque CAN come in handy when you need it!
