Help Deciding Which GX to Buy
I bought my 2004 GX about 1 year ago. I really enjoy its ride and have become quite accustom (spoiled) to its amenities.
I’m having a hard time using my phone and driving so I’m thinking of trading my 2004 for a newer model with bluetooth capability.
I’ve searched online and have found 3 vehicles which I am interested enough to call about. (Details below) Does anyone know if 2007 GX has cracked dash syndrome? Because if 2007 is immune, my decision is made.
Think about it, its down right disgusting that the purchase of a vehicle associated with quality as Lexus hedges not if the dash will crack, but when the dash cracks. Bad Bad Bad.
Assuming all 3 perspective vehicles have a equal chance of contracting CDS (Cracked Dash Syndrome) I would greatly appreciate pros and/or cons of the 3 vehicles below.
2005: 104,000k, 2 owners, meticulous service history $19,000
2006: 75,000k, 2 owners, so-so service history $23,000
2007: 90,000k, 1 owner, meticulous service history $24,000
All 3 have similar options and in very good physical condition.
Thank you.

you gonna trade a car for the same car for bluetooth? that's pretty drastic... but hey here's a smart solution... install a new dvd/gps system double din type... bluetooth issue solved...

Yep, you'll save a fortune by just adding BT to your current GX in one way or another. However, if you're determined to buy a newer model GX, my recommendation is to find the latest year ('08-09) with the fewest miles and in the best condition. I would say: "Keep looking."

The only way Id do that is if I made money selling the '04 and that paid the difference for a newer GX. Its cheaper and easier to just buy an aftermarket H/U w/ Navigation, BT, DVD etc then spending thousands more on a newer GX.

Agreed, the 08'-09' has a minor facelift(extra chrome pieces, clear tail signals, ect.) and some interior upgrades as well. If you are set on a newer model go 08'+.
