the rear resonator doesnt do much. I cut mine off to make a downturn for clearance for offroading and it didnt change the tone much, if at all. The muffler you need to replace is nearly 2 ft long and like 11 inches wide oval. Its near the center of the truck on the passenger side.

As far as I know, the only company that made a catback system for our trucks was Gibson, and I cant really find those anymore either. You may just have to go the custom route if you want a nice sounding exhaust.

More interested in performance. The intake is already gonna make more noise than I like haha.

What do you mean about the muffler? I see one in the rear and a huge one in the middle. That's actually a resonator yes? It's all too familiar as my RX330 had the same. I took it both out and replaced the middle one with a real resonator and magnaflow muffler. Added allot of cabin vibration I was not happy with. But maybe if the pipe was straight rather than resonator?

In terms of noise - is there a difference ?
I wanted to make a correction. There is not any noise I can hear till about 70mph and up. Even then it's faint. Definitely a better ride than the Dunlop street tires I had before.

Wanted to follow up with a sample of the Denso OEM Ballast install. Now the video does not give it justice AT ALL and is inaccurate. It starts up very bright and the video camera has to adjust.

Unless you want to go BIG, lifting the rear of the truck is free! 4th gen 4Runner parts to lift the front, so it's 1/2 price already!

Anything you would use to lift the front of a 4th gen 4Runner will work on a GX470 as well, they are mechanically the same. In fact the 4runner Limited also had the air ride rear suspension, so they are exactly the same in that instance.

That's as specific as I can be, as I haven't looked into it any further. The GX is my wife's vehicle, it won't be getting lifted.

Beautiful truck, but justifying a wash as a mod is tad tough ...unless youre in the desert and there is no water

Unless the GX is heavily modded for off-roading like yours, it is going to look weak if it is just lifted especially on stock wheels. I think the stock GX is already a little disproportionate in terms of height to width ratio.

1.25" wheel spacers

You're right though, i prefer the GX with a wider stance.
