Is there a write up for this on the GX470? I have seen that it is a fairly easy fix, do I just pop up the button or do I have to remove the plastic molding around the center console?

At the top of the forum page. Click on searchm, advanced search, then type in what you are looking for, "heated seats" and further down select "GX470" First Generation under vehicles. This is important, otherwise you get ever car type under seach. Wa La! This link will show you everything you want to know about changing the LED.

It is funny that you mention this job, because I just did it last weekend.

You do have to pull up the center concle. It only takes about 30 min.

I got the lights from the dealership for about $3.00.

The switch comes out from the backside of the concle. Once it is out it takes a 1/2 turn of a screwdriver to pop out the light.

Most of the plastics come apart by prying.

Nbeihl, you do not have to pull the console - do a search for the thread that shows how to do it in about 3 minutes.
