Could of had one already but...
Hello everyone.
I was in Charleston, SC about a month ago and I stopped by a Lexus dealership there to find out when they would be getting the GX. They told me the lauch date was December 5th and, "Did I have a deposit on one yet?" The salesman that I knew from that dealership was off that day, so I left.
Then about 2 weeks ago I had to go to my local Lexus dealership to get my SC serviced. While service took care of my car, I went into the showroom and told the salesman I might be interested in the GX (whenever they got one).
Although I had no deposit on the GX, the salesman was kind enough to call me on Monday, December 2nd (I guess this was moments after they got their 1st GX off the truck). I was quite curious to see the GX in person, so a few hours later, my wife & I went down to the dealership and gave it a first look & test drive.
This one was Silver Pine Metallic with Dark Charcoal interior. It was very nice. Of course it drove beautifully.
Now, from what I had heard from the dealership in Charleston & from some of the posts in this forum, I thought the wait list on GX's was going to be huge.
But to my suprise, we were told that the one we just test drove was for sale (but of course could not take delivery until the 5th).
Well, I'm sorry to report that I didn't ****** it up. Yes, I still want the GX, but I'll wait to get one with the Ivory interior. Hopefully that wait won't be long.
