you could have drained 3qts and only put back 1.5, etc.
My mechanic did it. He's very reliable. Never in six years have I had him do sloppy work for me. However like I said I will do a check when I see him next.

Default Transmission service at Toyota dealer

I just did the transmission service at local Toyota dealer yesterday, called 5-6 dealers around the area they all charge around $300. This dealer has a 15% coupon so OTD is $285. The service advisor said in order to flush out all the gunks, they use 12 quarts of WS ATF, the procedure is pretty much the same as alan553 listed, and they did a couple of test drives during the whole service, it took about 3.5 hours. BTW on the invoice it lists $11 for a quart of WS ATF, guess I should have ordered from Sewell (less than $7), oh well at least I don't have to worry about transmission service for a while.

No not at this point. Everything seems fine however. If I can soon I am going to do a full tranny service within the next month or so just to make sure.
