hello everyone, i'm new on here. I have owned the LX450 in the past and now drive a 4runner. I've been seaching for a pre-owned 2005-2007 Lexus GX470 the past few weeks for the wife. I have read all the posts on the KDSS system and I think its something I want when i purchase. Only thing is they are hard to find. For those who have the KDSS on there vehicle, what kind of value to you put on it? lets say i found a non-KDSS equiped vehicle for $15000 and one with KDSS for $18,500 assuming they are similar on options and mileage is this a fair tradeoff? thanks in advance for any help.

Actually, there is not much in value difference.

Most of the dealers who have GX470 w/ KDSS do not know it has that option. Even if you'll ask them about KDSS they'll have no idea. You just have to find one.

Look for GX470 with black wood trim, it would be the best indicator of KDSS

thanks for the response. i have found a few with the black wood. ive been looking around on here, how much did the sport package add to the total price of the vehicle? thanks

Sorry for arriving to the party late..

KDSS is a no value added package. Meaning when we appraise a GX model, we look for other factors (Nav/Mark Levinson/3rd row/ rear entertainment/ tow package/etc). Things like KDSS has no added value in the used car systems when appraising.

I would need a VIN to a KDSS vehicle to look up the old window sticker and see what the price for it was. My guess off my head would be $1,850 - 2,200.
