2005 GX470 - A/C not working.
Greetings - New to the forum and thought I would post to get advice on potential DIY fixes, as I am very weary as the local dealership always...always seems to find many issues wrong that need to be addressed on both Lexus'...all with hefty price tags. (including a recommendation for a brake job with only 3000 miles on the existing brakes!)
The A/C in our 2005 GX470 is out again. Called the dealership and service rep indicated the R134a never really needs to be "re-charged" but they must do a diagnostic to determine if there are leaks or any other potential problems. The starting cost for the diagnosis is $225 and whatever else they find.
Are there any trouble-shooting steps for the A/C that are common on the GX470 that the forum could recommend? Thanks.
