I'm new to this forum. My wife and I just bought a 2006 470. We love it! I believe my GPS is out of date though. The DVD says North America version U20. Data version 05.1. Is this old? I live in Kansas. Is the newest DVD going to really help me or can I buy last years model and save $?

Yes it is old. I also have an 06 with those maps. They are basically from 2005.

The latest version was just released. 13.1

You can order them online as Sewell. That is what I did. They give you about a $5 break for being a member of CL.

I should receive my DVD today. I ordered on Wednesday. It said on their website it was back ordered but when you pit it I the shopping cart it shows in stock.

I believe the newest version is 13.1 or so. I'm of the opinion that unless you consistently drive in unfamiliar areas where new streets/roads have been added (since 2006), that the upgrades doesn't do you much good.

Chances are that there is minimal difference between 12.1 and 13.1, but that's pretty much an assumption on my part. Look on eBay or Craig's List for version 12.1 at a reduced price.

We still have the original version in our '08. Updates may have helped on a couple of occasions.
