Default AC Temp Button Faded -Looks ugly

Hi,

My TEMP button is faded, trying cleaning it made it worse.

Question:
1. Can the TEMP button be changed?
2. If, so, where can I buy the button?
3. Any special procedure removing it, or use a screwdriver and pops out?

It looks ugly, please advise. SEE IMAGE ATTACHED

Thanks

I doubt you can buy either. I've not come across any threads or seen any mention of it in the owners / repair manual either. I did a quick search on Sewell and didn't find anything.

1st gen CTS-Vs were notorious for having the flaking navigation buttons and GM sold them separately but I don't think Toyota does. Guys w/ Tundras were stripping / breaking their a/c ***** and Toyota didn't sell those separately either. To get them you'd have to buy a used a/c panel off of eBay. Luckily Tundra parts were cheap, GX parts aren't, even for used stuff.

Cant find the part number. It sucks to change the whole control, looks like button can come out.

Yeah the button panel itself can come out but I don't think Lexus sells the individual buttons like temp, auto etc. To get them you'd have to buy the whole panel that you have pictured.

Too bad Lexus doesn't sell the individual buttons like Cadillac does.

I'm not 100% but it looks like the navigation trim is sold separately.

Look here:

Then look here:

The link to buy, if it is the correct navigation trim, is here:
http://lexus.sewellparts.com/oem-cat...X470-2004.html
$65 w/ our discount, not bad if it is in the fact the complete navigation bezel:

I would call Sewell and confirm it's what you're looking for before buying it online.

You are correct RC,

They dont sell TEMP button, however, other buttons are sold for around $5. My luck I need TEMP. other 5 buttons sold individually.
Here is the link incase someone needs it, it will save them lots of money.

WOW so they do sell the individual buttons. I wonder why they don't sell the temp buttons?

EDIT: I just noticed the buttons were also in my previous post, #4 and I didn't even notice them being sold individually.

Not down here they don't. I keep my AC on the lowest temp, I only mess w/ the fan and I've never used the heater once since owning my GX.
