He has an '08 not an '05 and the tow package was not part of the sports package, it was a separate option all together. Seems more of the newer GXs had the tan leather and black carpets. It's an odd color combo to me but at least the carpets will look clean when the kids get it dirty compared to tan / beige carpet.

WoW! Timing belt changed at 50K due to age of vehicle, not mileage. People rarely do that. Looks like you've picked a winner! Liking that sport package.

You might have the tow package - just no hitch. Look under the bumper for the factory trailer electrical plug (it's capped) near where the hitch would be mounted.

...And look in front of your radiator / below the horns to see if you have a trans cooler.

I looked under the rear bumper, and it does have the electrical trailer plug, looks OEM to me... and also the trans cooler is there under the horns.

Thank you both for the information. If I ever win lotto and get a nice size boat, I'd just have to get a hitch installed.

...lol

At -16 degrees right now, and not much warmer near the big pond close to me, (lake Michigan) I think the 'fun on the water' would require some skates.

So I finally got a chance to get around and look through the glove box, and also the owners manual.. .I found the original window sticker... It is Sport PKG with tow prep pkg.

Well we knew that once you verified you had the rear lighting plug and trans cooler. It's not part of the sports package though, it's a separate add-on option.

Right... it's nice to actually see something on paper tho. It pretty much doesn't get much more legit than the factory sticker with the VIN.

All the owner's manuals put together has more pages than the War and Peace. lol.

For your tow package, all you need to do is get a pintle hitch and you'll be all set. Everything else is prewired.

Do I need to drill the truck to get that installed, or is it already pre-drilled?

Its pre drilled you will need to remove the mounting that is there and then install the new one
