Color match on Weathertech liners?
How close is the color on the Weathertech floor mats to the factory carpet?
I have the gray interior, but feel free to include your opinion on the tan as well, for the folks who have that color.
Also, how slick is the material when it gets wet?
Thanks in advance.

I have the Weathertech all-weather mats (not the liners) in my GX and in my ES. My ES has the parchment color interior. The tan Weathertech mats in it are a little darker than the carpet, but they complement the carpet and other interior colors very well. In my GX, I have the gray interior and the gray mats. Again, since the GX gray interior has several different shades of gray, the gray mats complement the range of interior colors very well.
My experience with Weathertech products has been that they make a high quality, perfect fitting, and well-designed product line. I can't speak to whether the liners get slick when wet, but the all-weather mats do not get slick.

I have the grey laser liners in my 2004 GX. The liners are very close to the carpet color. I doubt if Lexus could get the color closer. Here in ice and snow country, the mats slipperyousity is not an issue. Hell, I'd buy 'em even if they only came in red! They work.

That's sort of what I was thinking. If the gray (and tan) weren't a close enough color match, I was just going to go with black.

I have the ivory interior with tan liner its not a close color match but its ok, when I got my GX470 right away i got the black liner but after 3yrs it started fading with grey in the gas/brake area and don't put armorall or it will be slick as ice lol
any one did this to their weathertech liner, took the sticker off and replaced it with a lexus decal? I first saw this on STI owners, I did it when I got my 2nd set tan liner back then but after few very wet soak wash the stickers started to come off and didn't replaced it.

I love the digital liners in the 1st and 2nd rows, but I've been having issues with my cargo liner "bunching" and fitting poorly, like it slides too far forward and under the 2nd row seats a bit. I've had the cargo liners in 2 vehicles previous and never had any issues like this before, anyone else not completely happy with the fit of their cargo liners? I'll try and snap a pic to show what I'm talking about later.

Can't remember who this GX belongs to.

I've seen that pic before, and it certainly would cure my issues with the liner sliding too far back, but I pulled my 3rd row seats out the day I brought it home, and have no intentions of ever using them. Maybe if I just cut out the tie downs it would do the trick? I guess you'd need to remove the upper-most layer of carpet to pull this off, which isn't a big deal.
I'll take another look, might try this out.

Thanks for the pic, 470reasons. That looks like a pretty good color match.
I'll probably go with the all-weather mat and not the liner, as I'm wanting to capture dirt more so than snow or slush (I'm in Austin - it's rare here).
