Hi, first post here. I've had my Lexus for a year after replacing my older Expedition. Loving it.

I've narrowed my new tires to these two models. I know they are both great, basically sacrificing a touch of comfort for better snow performance in the LTX.

In NW Washington we get an occasional snowstorm but nothing like the Midwest stuff. Lots of rain!! I don't plan to own another set of snow tires, so I'm trying to decide on these two. Latitudes probably make the most sense but I see a ton of loyalty to the LTX M/S2.

I really like the LTX M/S2 tires. They drive very well - smooth on any surface, they are quiet, and they wear very well. Good in snow and great in rain.

We have the Latitudes on our Sienna FWD van. They handle well, *decent* in heavy rain, but they wear rather fast. I know that they are not impressive in snow either. My brother has them on his Acura MDX and he said that on packed snow, they are scary. You said that snow performance is not important for you, but even for the occasional snow storm, i would pick the LTX M/S2, before i look at the Latitude.
