Anyone else experience this? Will be driving and the radio will just come on. This happens every now and then.

Did the "radio" tell her to do 'bad things'? Or, was it a 'friendly' radio?

It is the bottom button on the left side of the steering wheel. If the audio system is already on, pressing that button will cycle the audio system, with each press, through AM, FM, CD, and tape,but, if the audio system is off, pressing that button will turn it on. Also, if it is already on, presing and holding that button will turn it off. I suspect that accidentally pressing that button is the source of the "ghost" in your GX.

Burny...the Radio equipment on certain models of GX 470 2007 - 2009 have demonstrated one or more of the following intermittent, scrambled,unreadable or blank displays, no Volume control, or turning OFF or ON by itself. An improved radio has been developed to correct this situation. Go to your dealer and quote the TSB - 0006-10 Dated Jan 2010.
The following SB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change effective VIN# JTJBT20X8#90177558.
Check your VIN model qualifies for the exchange program. And proceed to the dealer for the change.
This is covered under LEXUS Compehensive Warranty 48months or 50,000miles. And warranty application will be limited to occurrence of the above specified condition.

Hi Mann, According to my contact at Lexus there is no 0006-10, but there is a 0005-10. Do you have a link where I can see the TSIB for 0006-10? I tried googleing it, but only saw the 0005-10. My last 4 of the VIN are about 500 higher than the number you show so I guess I got a dud here.
