Various EQ settings work better on the phone than others - play around till your happy. I plugged a Blackberry Music Gateway (wireless adapter) into my car AUX to create wireless connection. Hope this helps.
I have an iPad and Android phones. Will either work? 3.5 connectors, which wire set?
How to quick check electrical on the plug-in? I have a VOM.

Anything that has a 3.5mm output will work, since it's analog audio.
You do want to turn up the volume on the device so that your GX's volume control has something to work with.
