Default Recirculate servo motor

I have been getting that clicking sound when HVAC set to RECIRC. i looked at schematics on Sewell and I think this is the motor. Has anyone done this or be able to confirm this is the correct part?

No one here has ever experienced that clicking sound coming from behind the glovebox caused by the motor that opens and closes the damper for flow through vs recirculation in the HVAC system?

Not clicking, but I had the arm of the recirc door pop out of the servo actuator arm before. I spent about 30 minutes trying to get it all back together. Have you removed the glove box to physically look at it? Might be as simple as my problem was. You can see the servo and arm after the glove box is dropped.

Replace your cabin filter while you are in there.

easy to see, because i took the CD player out a few months ago after it crapped out. the arm must be connected becasue the door works, just when you put it on recir, it actuates the door, the motor just keeps running, the click must be the sound of the gears sliding past each other. Just not sure its as easy to get out as it looks, getting to the screw which mount sideways may involve removing alot of stuff other than the basic glove box and trm. was just wondering if anyone elso has done it and have i picked the right motor part number. cabin filter gets replaced yearly.

I had the click sound and to remove yes it is a PITA. I had the one sound coming from the Air flow unit right of the cluster . So removed them and had them rectified the minute gear cog wheel and had to get lubricated. Tools required are basic tools and time Two hours.

is it usually the plastic worm gear that fails or is it the little motors? I was wondering if I could rebuild the servos like the door lock actuators ? Wondering if the same motor for door lock actuators is used in servos?

The Gear worms are ok bit it was the locking arm which make the rotation anti clockwise and that had slipped off gear cog and it was arm which was making the continuous noise. All you need is patience and fine tools to sit and do it in calm manner or replace the whole thing.
